This isn’t a polished webinar. It’s a monthly show & tell for trash lovers and scrap alchemists. Come hang out, share your weird half-baked projects, and cheer on other garbage people (the good kind).
What to expect:
🐰 Connection — Meet other people turning waste into renewal, swap stories, leave with a little more #climatehope.

Why the Bunny
🐇 Why the Bunny (and Coffee)
The Velveteen Bean started with compost — coffee grounds from roasteries, rabbit bedding from rescues, scraps pulled from the waste stream and given a second life in soil. Somewhere along the way, the bunny showed up: soft but resilient, multiplying quietly, carrying life forward.I’ve always loved the treasure-hunt of dumpster diving, the weird joy of seeing resource where others see trash. This project is just an extension of that impulse: to care for what’s here, to make it visible, and to have some fun, and see how others are also showing up imperfectly for a low/zero waste future.

Hi, I’m Maggie.
I used to make shiny campaigns for brands you’d definitely recognize. The polished stuff.
Now I’d rather dig in scraps. The Velveteen Bean is my outlet — part compost pile, part creative playground, part community experiment.
What lights me up? Turning trash into treasure, pulling people together, and making silly, hopeful experiments in joy — even in messy, unraveling times.
Not a brand to buy into. A commons to play in.
